NVBR releases June 2017 Real Estate Market Statistics

NVBR released the June 2017 Real estate report for VT. Overall, Days on the market have decreased, median prices of single family homes has increased and closed sales have also increased. This report looks at the market statistics over the past 12 months. Great reading and gives you a pulse on the market.

    This years Maple Syrup Production is twice the size of any other state!

    While 2016 was a record level for Maple Syrup production, this year's production is just below 2016. Vermont produced 1.98 million gallons of maple syrup and is the largest producer of maple syrup in the USA. Based on average sales, the 2017 crop is worth about 59.4 million dollars.

      Vermont unemployment rate is lower than National rate.

      According to national statistics, Burlington Vermont's unemployment rate is significantly lower than the national rate of 4.3% for May 2017.  Burlington boasts a 2.5% for May 2017. This contributes to the tight housing market in Burlington. Look at attached article for more details.

        Vermont Recovers from Weekend Flooding

        Vermont is recovering from some of the worst flooding since Tropical Storm Irene. Even with this destruction the incredible strength and community of Vermonters is pulling together to repair the damage.
