I hope everyone knows Kathy is just the best. When we moved to Vermont she helped us buy our condo. Money was tight and she basically gave up her commission to help us get the place. Kathy and Patrick are amazing! We began our long distance search for a Vermont home back in May 2023. Kathy did a great job keeping us informed of any properties that came on the market, or that she heard might becoming available. Unfortunately, there wasn't much inventory during this time, but Kathy stuck with us. We did many a FaceTime viewing with Kathy and Patrick, with us on the west coast and their "showing" us the Vermont property. After being on the "hunt" for 1 1/2 yrs, Kathy succeeded in finding us "the house". Our seller chose to represent themselves (For Sale By Owner), which at times presented challenges to the process, but Kathy navigated us through, in large part because of her years of experience, but also due to her common sense approach to problem solving and negotiating skills. Oddly, I'm somewhat sad that finally finding us a house, means I won't get to have as much contact with Kathy now! Totally recommend The O'Brien O'Connell Group and truly believe you'd be hard pressed to find realtors that work as hard for you as they did for us!

Kathy O'Brien is the best realtor in Vermont. Patrick O'Connell and Kathy make a great team and their knowledge of Lake Champlain, the high-end property market and experience with both local and out of state buyers in unmatched from my experience. We've bought or sold two other homes in Vermont over the past 15 years and they are the best. They used the latest technologies to not only showcase our home (i.e. drone footage, walk through videos and even software that modeled furniture in rooms that were already empty) but also to advertise and sell our home to potential buyers across the country. We had potential buyers from Chicago, New York, New Jersey and even California interested in our home in addition to local interest. As a sailor herself, Kathy's knowledge of lake front properties, the different parts of Lake Champlain, and her experience dealing with Vermont laws, inspectors, and utility properties provide an expert to your buying/selling process that can deal with any issue that could arise. I don't think there is an issue, law, or curve ball she hasn't successfully dealt with before. Kathy and Patrick get our highest recommendation and they would be our first choice in any future property transaction.
